Levitas et al (2006) Fertility and Sterility Vol 85 (5) pages 1404-1408.

A study performed in Israel that was subjected to peer review and published in the journal of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), Fertility and Sterility, Volume 85 (5), May 2006; showed a doubling of the implantation rate of embryos transferred in In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) treatment cycles where hypnosis was performed compared to the same treatment cycles where no hypnosis was performed. Participants in the hypnosis study group also stated a higher level of satisfaction with the treatment regardless of pregnancy or not, compared to the no hypnosis patient group.
